July 2023 feature films and series CS EN
For a Czech period drama We Have Never Been Modern, we adjusted English SDH to be in accordance with SCC format requirements and subtitling standards in general. Furthermore, we converted the subtitles, both for the movie and for the trailer, to SCC format.
June 2023 feature films and series EN, CS, IT DE
We fixed German subtitles for a historical Czech film, Il Boemo – we shortened lines that were too long or had bad reading speed, we added missing translation, we completely overhauled the spotting to adhere to the client’s standards and had a native speaker proofread the subtitles in their entirety.
December 2022 feature films and series FR CS
We created Czech subtitles for a trio of Barbet Schroeder’s feature films showcased in his special retrospective by Film Europe. The films have been distributed to cinemas and they are also available for streaming on Edisonline.
May 2017 feature films and series CS EN
Based on a translated screenplay that was provided to us, we produced subtitles for a new film by the Academy Award winning director Jan Svěrák, Barefoot. We complemented the translated screeplay with our own translation where necessary. Our output was then extensively proofread by an English native speaker. We have also made Czech subtitles for the hearing-impaired with a cooperation with a deaf subtitler. We also created Czech and Slovak subtitles for scenes in Russian. We also created the English subtitles for the extended version for Blu-ray.
August 2023 feature films and series UK IT
Based on an existing English translation, we prepared English subtitles to a Ukrainian hybrid movie Photophobia. We created Italian subtitles as well and synced both language versions for the purposes of film festivals.
June 2023 short, spot EN CS
We created Czech subtitles to a series of English videos about an art axhibition called Infamous Beautry for DOX Centre for Contemporary Art in Prague. The videos with our subbtitles were screened during the exhibition.
